Ice Wine is a specialty dessert wine made from grapes that are naturally frozen on the vine. The freezing process concentrates the sugars and flavors, resulting in a sweet, rich wine. The Lake Michigan Shore American Viticultural Area (AVA) is a designated wine-growing region known for its unique climate, which is moderated by the lake. This allows for a longer growing season and excellent conditions for grape ripening, making it one of the premier wine regions in the Midwest.
