Nitz Family Vineyards: A Legacy Rooted in Tradition
At Nitz Family Vineyards, our story is one of heritage, hard work, and a deep connection to the land. Generations ago, our ancestors embarked on a journey from Germany, seeking fertile land that could sustain their passion for grape growing. They found it in the rolling hills of Michigan, a place that reminded them of the landscapes they left behind.

Oaked Chardonnay
Balanced, creamy and shaped by the character of the Lake Michigan Shore. After a summer influenced by the lake’s winds and weather, our Chardonnay spends the colder months developing its character with French oak. The result is a dry white wine with rich, nutty undertones, a subtle touch of oak and honey, and bright citrus for balance.
Aromas of pear, green apple, citrus and ripe pineapple make it an inviting choice for everything from a casual midweek dinner to a special evening meal.
Pairings:
Shrimp, mussels and creamy or cheesy pasta dishes.
Sparkle
Light-bodied, off-dry and delightfully refreshing, Sparkle is inspired by the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan. Its bright fruit and delicate floral character come together in a lively, approachable sparkling white wine best enjoyed well chilled.
Made with grapes shaped by the fertile soils, cooling winds and distinctive weather of the Lake Michigan Shore, Sparkle reflects seven generations of determination and winemaking tradition.
